Vehicle History:
This vehicle was purchased new in 1988 by the original owner and kept it for the next 31 years - always keeping the vehicle garaged and serviced. The second owner purchased the vehicle last year and kept up the meticulous care prior to AlphaCars offering this 560SL for sale.

Vehicle Condition:
The overall condition is excellent, just shy of Concours quality. This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL winds back the clock, with condition that belies the last 32 years. Exterior needs to been seen to be believed, with near-perfect panel alignment (the doors shut solidly and cleanly) and all original, accident-free paint. Our sophisticated paint meter tool has found evidence of a small, minor cosmetic repair on the left quarter panel that has been completed to better than Mercedes-Benz standards. All glass and chrome are clean, clear, and beautiful. The interior leather is stunning, showing like a vehicle only a few years old. There are no rips, tears, stains, or funny odors in any of the cabin surfaces. The interior plastics are fantastic - there are no cracks on the dashboard and the wood veneer is in amazing condition, with a uniform finish and only the smallest of imperfections near the window switches. All interior electronics work, including the original Blaupunkt radio. The underbody is impressively clean and original. This Mercedes-Benz starts instantly and settles into a smooth idle. It pulls away smartly and shifts smoothly. We have replaced the rear shocks and front ball-joints to upkeep the overall drivability and condition of this roadster.
