Inspection are recommended at 20,000, 40,000, 60,000, 80,000 miles etc.
If the mileage for an inspection is not reached, an inspection should be carried out every 2 years at the latest. The term checking includes all necessary subsequent work, such as adjustments, readjustments, corrections and topping up.
Full Inspections include the following:
Electrics
Windscreen wiper/washer system, headlight cleaning system: check function
Horn: check function Tires: check tire pressure (TPM)
Diagnostic system: read out fault memory; reset maintenance interval
Check actuator travel of brake shoes
Inside the vehicle
Particle filter: replace filter element
Seat belts: check function and condition
Door locks: check function
Luggage compartment
Check front lid lock and safety hook of the front lid to ensure that they are secure and function properly
Replace air intake pre-filter
Windscreen wiper/washer system: check fluid level; check window cleaner and antifreeze, depending on time of year
Outside the vehicle
Check wiper blades
All headlights: check adjustment
Radiators and air intakes: visual inspection for external contamination and blockage
Brake system: check brake pads and brake discs for wear
Service and maintain convertible top
Service and maintain Targa roof
Under the vehicle
Drain engine oil
Underbody panels: visual inspection for completeness, secure installation and damage
Tires: check condition
Visual inspection for leaks from underneath (oils and other fluids)
Brake lines: visual inspection for damage, routing and corrosion
Brake hoses: visual inspection for damage
Steering gear: visual inspection of the bellows for damage
Tie rod joints: check play and dust bellows
Drive shafts: visual inspection of the boots for leaks and damage
Axle joints: check the play and visually inspect the dust boots for damage
Ancillary unit mounts and chassis: visual inspection of all rubber mountings and boots for damage
Rear-axle steering: check bellows, dust boots and play on joints
Exhaust system: visual inspection for leaks and damage, check engine mount
Replace spark plugs
Controlled all-wheel drive: change oil
All-wheel final drive: change oil
Manual transmission: change oil
PDK transmission: change transmission oil
PDK transmission: change clutch fluid
Change oil filter
Engine compartment
Change oil filter
Fill in engine oil
Coolant: check level and antifreeze
PDCC: check fluid level
Replace PDCC reservoir
Check drive belt
Replace drive belt
Fuel lines and connections: visual inspection
Air cleaner: replace filter element
Check charge-air cooler for dirt
Additional inspection
Change brake fluid
Prepare condition report for long-life guarantee
Tire sealing compound: check use-by date and replace if necessary
Final check
All headlights: check adjustment
Test Drive
Remote control, front seats, electric parking brake and foot brake (also actuation travel), engine, clutch, steering, transmission, ParkAssist, cruise control, PSM switch, PASM switch, Sport switch, mode-switch, liftswitch, sports exhaust system, door mirror fold-in function, heating, air conditioning and instruments: check function
Oils, fluids: visual inspection for leaks
